As a passionate movie buff, I can’t help but feel a pang of nostalgia as I witness a piece of cartoon history being erased on the Warner Bros. lot. The studio is tearing down the humble, one-story building that once echoed with the laughter and life of Looney Tunes characters.

It’s been reported by Deadline that Building 131 is set to be demolished to expand the base camp area for numerous HBO productions taking place on their Burbank, CA lot. This unremarkable building, situated in a remote corner of the lot near Forest Lawn Drive, will not be rebuilt.
It’s been hinted that the structure’s dismantling has been planned for a while, with employees from other productions being advised to avoid parking near the area. The demolition might start as soon as the upcoming week.
A handful of protesters have adorned the structure with placards appealing for its preservation. Representatives from the production company chose not to address the matter.
