As a devoted Outlander fan who has journeyed through time with Claire and Jamie countless times, I must say that the teaser for Season 7B has left me both excited and intrigued. The appearance of Lord John Grey sporting an eye patch has certainly piqued my curiosity, and as someone who’s read the books, I can confidently say we are in for a stormy ride.
In a sneak peek from Outlander‘s Season 7B trailer, Lord John Grey is sporting an eyepatch. This brief moment also features Young Ian, leaving many viewers who haven’t delved into the books puzzled about the storyline.
For those eager for “Outlander” spoilers who aren’t avid book readers, as well as those who have read the books but can’t recall every detail, we’re diving into the specifics of what awaits us in the second half of “Outlander” Season 7.
Lord John Grey finds himself on the wrong side of Jamie’s anger in Outlander
As a devoted fan of Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series, I find it truly captivating how the storyline unfolds across multiple books. Having read all seven installments myself, I can confidently say that the events in this narrative take place towards the concluding phases of ‘An Echo in the Bone’, which is the seventh book. This gripping tale doesn’t end there; instead, it seamlessly carries over into the eighth book, ‘Written in My Own Heart’s Blood’. It’s a testament to Gabaldon’s storytelling prowess that she manages to keep readers hooked for such an extensive series.
Toward the close of the seventh volume, Claire finds herself in the Colonies while Jamie remains in Scotland. Lord John Grey discovers that Jamie’s ship has sunk at sea, leaving him presumed dead. To shield Claire, he proposes marriage, a proposal she accepts.
1. Absolutely, they must fulfill their marital vows. And undeniably, Jamie isn’t deceased; he simply arrived later and returned home to discover his wife involved with another man. Initially enraged by the situation, Jamie eventually empathizes with Claire’s actions. However, it’s John whom Jamie is particularly furious with, and he vents his anger on this individual.
As a gamer, I’d say: I’ve been crushing John so often in our games that it seems to have caused some trouble for him – he ended up with an eye injury. Left on his own, he managed to get picked up by the Continental Army who tended to his wound. Over time, he made it back home and my sister, Claire, was able to help nurse his eye back to health.
There is a lot of drama to come in Outlander Season 7B, and we can’t wait!
