Outlander Season 7B isn't coming in September, but we're close to the release date

As a dedicated fan who has traversed the tumultuous seas of time with Claire and Jamie countless times, I can’t help but feel a mix of anticipation and frustration as we approach the return of Outlander. The prolonged Droughtlander is a cruel jest from Starz, but I understand their strategy – September is like a battlefield, and premium cable networks prefer to save their heaviest artillery for later.

We are more than ready to see the next part of Outlander. It’s time for Droughtlander to come to an end. Sadly, Starz doesn’t think so.

It appears you’ve been keeping up with the release date announcements, correct? Contrary to what was previously speculated, the premiere is not scheduled for September 2024. In fact, it’s quite logical. September tends to be a busy month for traditional television shows returning, so major cable networks and streaming platforms often opt for other months to debut their high-profile shows to minimize competition.

Why compete when you don’t need to? There are better months to bring Outlander Season 7B.

Outlander Season 7B release date

The release date for Season 7B of ‘Outlander’ has been confirmed as November 22nd (Friday). Viewers on the East Coast will be able to watch episodes from midnight ET on that Friday morning, while those on the West Coast can enjoy it at 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 21st. Quite fortunate for them!

The show will be broadcast on Starz at 8 p.m., both Eastern and Pacific Time. It’s great that this isn’t similar to HBO, as we don’t need to wait for the TV broadcast to stream the episode online!

We’re hoping for a full trailer soon. Maybe toward the end of September we’ll get one.

What to expect in Outlander Season 7B

The show tends to keep its future plans under wraps, but it’s common knowledge that this season encompasses Books 7 and 8, “An Echo in the Bone” and “Written in My Own Heart’s Blood.”

In the novel titled “Written in My Own Heart’s Blood“, the plotlines revolve around characters Bree and Roger. Presently, Roger finds himself delving into the past with Buck, in pursuit of his son. Concurrently, Bree is navigating the present (for the series) alongside Mandy, trying to decide her next course of action. If you’re well-versed in the books, you know where Jemmy is; however, this information remains elusive to both Roger and Bree.

It appears that Roger isn’t returning to the time period as anticipated. On the contrary, he seems to have traveled even farther back in time. This anomaly ties directly to his father’s background.

In the meantime, Claire, Jamie, and Young Ian return to Scotland, allowing us a glimpse into how Jenny and Ian are faring. Unfortunately, things aren’t going well for them.

It’s evident from the promotional content that Claire and Young Ian return to America, at least. You don’t need to have read the books to understand this, as there’s a picture of Jamie wearing a blue coat, symbolizing his role in the American Revolutionary War. He needs to return to carry on with his struggle there.

Eight thrilling episodes of Outlander are set to air this fall! Make sure you’re prepared – catch Season 7B starting on November 22nd, only on Starz.
