Oh boy, I am beyond excited for the return of “Outer Banks”! As someone who’s been following this show since its debut, I can confidently say that it’s become more than just a TV series – it’s an adventure, a journey filled with friendship, love, and high-stakes treasure hunts. And let’s not forget the breathtaking locations that make every episode feel like a mini vacation!
Essence of Outer Banks revolves around camaraderie, faithfulness, affection, excitement, and enigma – all rolled into one. And let’s not forget the mind-blowing landscapes that make it even more captivating. The show has been greenlit for a fourth season, and we’ve got you covered with all the essential details to get you ready for the upcoming adventures!
If you’re not familiar: The Outer Banks is a series focusing on the growth of a close-knit gang called the Pogues (John B, Sarah, Kiara, Pope, JJ, and Cleo). They find themselves entangled in a sequence of clandestine events that include mystery, excitement, a thrilling treasure hunt, and an intensifying feud with their adversaries, the Kooks.
Outer Banks Season 4 | Release Date
We’re thrilled to announce that we have a release date for Outer Banks Season 4! Here’s the exciting news: The first part will be available on Netflix starting October 10, and the second part follows closely on November 7.
Part One entails episodes one to five, and Part Two will cover the episodes six to ten.
And, while we’re at it, here’s the official synopsis:
Following last season’s 18-month flash-forward showing Wes Genrette’s proposal for the Pogues to find Blackbeard’s treasure, Season 4 takes us back in time to the lead-up of that moment. After finding the gold at El Dorado, the Pogues return to the OBX and commit to having a “normal” life. They’ve built themselves a new safe haven, officially dubbed “Poguelandia 2.0”, where they live together and run a fairly successful bait, tackle, and charter tour shop. But after some financial setbacks, John B, Sarah, Kiara, JJ, Pope, and Cleo take Wes up on his offer, drawn back into the “G” game for a whole new adventure. But before they know it, they’re well in over their heads, with dangerous new enemies hot on their heels racing them to the treasure. Meanwhile, their problems are only growing, and they’re forced to question their past, present, and future – who they really are, has it all been worth it, and how much are they willing to risk?
Where Have We Left Off In Outer Banks?
Obvious spoiler warning is obvious: if you’re not up-to-date with Outer Banks’ third season, you might want to leave now.
Was the end result truly justified? After all, haven’t pirates shown us that the true riches are the bonds we’ve forged throughout our journey? That’s exactly what it has been for The Pogues, but they’ve certainly paid a heavy toll.
In the third season, the team discovered the long-sought treasure, but now they own the gold. Was it all worth it, considering the cost? Following an 18-month gap, they were left with regrets as both Ward and Big John perished.
Now that Big John is truly out of the scene, where does the storyline for season 4 go next? The final episode’s epilogue hinted at another adventure for the Pogues to pursue, and it turns out to be the treasure once linked with the legendary pirate Blackbeard.
It seems likely that the series could be expanding beyond four or five seasons, as the creators have recently indicated a change in their initial plans. Fingers crossed for more episodes!
Outer Banks Season 4 | Returning Cast
With Big John and Ward departing, it seems unlikely that we’ll run into Charles Halford or Charles Esten anymore – at least not in the main storyline. Catching up with them in flashbacks would be tough to bear.
The Pogues are making a comeback: Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Rudy Pankow, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, and Carlacia Grant are seen in the trailer for the upcoming season, hinting that they might embark on another adventure in search of hidden treasures.
In addition to the Kooks – specifically Drew Starkey as Rafe and Austin North as Topper – are set to continue their roles in season 4. Furthermore, Fiona Palomo has been upgraded to a regular on Outer Banks, indicating that we can expect Sofia to reappear!
We can also get ready to meet quite a few new faces according to Netflix, including:
- J. Anthony Crane as Chandler Groff: After losing his wife and still very much grieving, he’s welcoming to the Pogues on their latest adventure.
- Pollyanna McIntosh as Dalia, girlboss personified: she comes face-to-face with the Pogues and they’ll have to deal with her, revolutionary-like leader and baddie that she is.
- Brianna Brown as Hollis Robinson, a business acquaintance of Ward’s, with a special interest in Rafe.
- Rigo Sanchez as Lightner, the pirate of all pirates, putting the Pogues to the test.
- Mia Challos as Ruthie, who Topper seems to be quite taken with, described as “a wild child with a toxic streak.”
Though a specific launch date hasn’t been announced yet, rest assured that we will continue to share any new information about the fourth season of Outer Banks as soon as it becomes available!
