Our Little Secret trailer: Lindsay Lohan is a pretty festive little liar!

As a long-time fan of holiday rom-coms and Lindsay Lohan, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming Netflix original Christmas movie, “Our Little Secret.” Having grown up watching Lohan’s iconic roles, it’s a treat to see her return to the genre that made her a household name.

In a twist of unusual circumstances, two exes dating siblings and celebrating holidays together might lead to unexpected complications. As suggested by the latest teaser for the movie “Our Little Secret“, every possible complication will indeed arise.

In the Netflix original Christmas romantic comedy, Lindsay Lohan plays the lead role as Avery. Over the holidays, she’s with her boyfriend Cameron (Jon Rudnitsky), but things get complicated when she learns that his sister is dating her former flame, Logan (Ian Harding). To prevent any drama, Avery and Logan choose to conceal their past relationship.

10 years before they became romantic partners, it appears from the trailer that Logan had proposed to Avery. Regrettably for him, she declined his proposal in public, which might have been the beginning of their strained relationship, leading them to become “bitter former lovers” as hinted in the movie summary. An uncomfortable proposal certainly can lead to that situation!

Besides struggling to conceal her secret concerning Logan, Avery also has to deal with Erica, played brilliantly by Kristin Chenoweth, who disapproves of her new boyfriend. From their first encounter, Erica makes it clear she isn’t a fan of Avery’s choices, as shown when she sarcastically comments on the wine Avery brought: “Oh look, it’s a screw top… Quick and convenient.” It’s evident that she wasn’t intending to pass judgment on anything but the wine.

In the trailer, set to Kelly Clarkson’s festive tune “Under the Mistletoe,” Avery and Logan struggle to conceal their bond, but minor slips such as admitting they hail from the same quaint town and getting caught plotting in secluded spaces make it increasingly likely that others will uncover their secret. Avery’s consumption of edibles prior to Christmas mass doesn’t exactly aid in maintaining their secrecy!

It’s clear that, given it’s a holiday romantic comedy, we can expect Avery and Logan to rekindle their romance now that they’ve reunited in such close quarters. The enjoyment will come from watching them maneuver through this challenging scenario and seeing the festive chaos that unfolds before their inevitable joyful conclusion.

Prior to unveiling the trailer for “Our Little Secret,” Netflix also premiered trailers for their three other upcoming Christmas romantic comedies: “Meet Me Next Christmas” (Nov. 6), “Hot Frosty” (Nov. 13), and “The Merry Gentlemen” (Nov. 20). In “Hot Frosty,” Lacey Chabert, who was a costar with Lindsay Lohan in “Mean Girls,” takes center stage. The trailer for the film includes a delightful reference to “Mean Girls” that fans of the movie will appreciate.

Countdown to Thanksgiving Day, I can hardly contain my excitement for “Our Little Secret”! This movie, premiering just a day before the feast, is set to be one of November’s most-watched Netflix titles. Beyond Lindsay Lohan, this film boasts connections that will appeal to many – it features Lucy Hale from “Pretty Little Liars” and the talented Kristin Chenoweth, who played Glinda the Good Witch in “Wicked”. It serves as an ideal conclusion to Netflix’s month-long marathon of new holiday romance movies. Trust me, you don’t want to miss it!

Our Little Secret premieres Nov. 27 only on Netflix.
