What happened in Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 5?

It’s unexpected that Aqua consents for Gotanda to view his acting ventures. This stirs memories in the director about how Aqua previously refused Kana access to his work, leaving him puzzled as to what led to this shift in Aqua’s decision. As Akane observes his performances, they delve into his challenges with emotive acting.

Gotanda explains that Aqua once experienced breakdowns at work due to his past traumas resurfacing. This has made it challenging for him to deliver emotionally charged performances. However, Aqua compensates by skillfully mimicking the acting styles of other performers, an ability that Gotanda finds impressive.

Akane queries Aqua’s reason for participating in stage plays. Following a moment of reluctance, he counters by questioning her: What would you do if I disclosed that I started acting with the intention of eliminating someone at the pinnacle of the entertainment world?

In a moment of surprise, Akane finds herself puzzled by an unusual query. However, she promptly assures him that she’s willing to aid him in his endeavor to eliminate that individual. Aqua labels her as unconventional, but Akane firmly maintains her intention to stand by him wholeheartedly as his girlfriend.

Instead, she requests Aqua to uphold his boyfriend responsibilities by aiding her in beating Kana. With Himekawa’s assistance, Kana gives her top performance; therefore, Aqua should lend a hand to Akane if she desires to overcome Kana. Aqua consents, and the duo arranges for Gotanda’s guidance following rehearsals to master emotional acting flawlessly.

Ruby and Minami visit Lalalai

In episode 5 of Oshi no Ko season 2, Ruby and Minami pay a visit to Lalalai to catch up with Aqua and Akane. But Ruby grumbles about Aqua’s late nights at home. However, Melt clarifies that the pair has departed from Gotanda with someone named Gotanda.

As a seasoned observer of human interactions, I can’t help but notice the dynamic between these four characters unfolding before me. Minami’s observation seems to suggest that the couple is spending quality time together, a fact that visibly saddens Ruby. Her swift exit to the restroom speaks volumes about her emotions and the depth of her feelings for the absent partner.

Individually, Akane and Kana express their mutual disdain for each other. Furthermore, Kana openly shares her ambition to reclaim the title of a “talented actor” by outperforming Akane. During their practice session, she brandishes her sword towards Akane, demonstrating her determination on stage.

Inquire if Himekawa prefers between Kana and Akane in terms of acting skills, to which Himekawa notes they each employ distinct acting methods yet are equally gifted. Nevertheless, Himekawa expresses certainty that Kana will surpass Akane this time around, as they share a partnership together.
