Based on a recent THR report, the musician was invited to participate in the ongoing Oscars event but chose not to accept the invitation. This decision was humorously mentioned during the broadcast, as Mick Jagger, who presented the Best Original Song award, joked that the producers had wanted Bob Dylan to perform, but he declined, adding that Dylan supposedly wanted them to find someone younger, implying himself.
