Oscar Isaac To Play ‘Greatest Conman Alive’ in Apple TV+ Show Stowaway

As an ardent admirer, I’m thrilled to share that the talented Oscar Isaac will not only grace our screens but also take on a significant role behind the scenes as he executively produces and stars in Apple TV+’s forthcoming biopic, Stowaway.

As a passionate gamer, I’m thrilled about the news that Steven Levenson, the mastermind behind Dear Evan Hansen and Tick, Tick… Boom!, is set to develop a new series. The pilot episode will be directed by the talented Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, known for Me and Earl and the Dying Girl and The Current War. According to Variety, in a hotly contested situation, the streaming giant has secured the rights to Stowaway – I can’t wait to see what they do with it!

What is Oscar Isaac’s new show Stowaway about?

In the upcoming biographical film, Isaac will portray Juan Carlos Guzmán, a cunning Colombian fraudster famously known as the “best con artist alive.” Driven by his desire for wealth, Guzmán has swindled millions from wealthy individuals across various nations using fabricated identities. The movie promises to narrate how Guzmán orchestrated his schemes and how his deceptions led him to be hunted in numerous countries such as Japan, Canada, Mexico, and beyond.

Juan traveled around the world, adopting one false identity after another. He successfully swindled millions from the wealthy guests at luxurious hotels. However, despite his ability to perfectly impersonate his victims, Juan was never able to evade the authorities – not only Scotland Yard, the Las Vegas Police Department, and Interpol, but also the ghosts of his own past that seemed relentless in their pursuit.

Renowned as one of the outstanding actors of the 21st century, Isaac has gained recognition for his roles in films such as Inside Llewyn Davis, Ex Machina, A Most Violent Year, The Promise, Drive, Annihilation, Balibo, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and Dune.

Apart from his current role, this actor has previously played Poe Dameron in the Star Wars saga. This can be seen in movies like Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Additionally, he provided the voice for the character in the animated series Star Wars Resistance.

Isaac is set to function as the executive producer for Stowaway, under his own production company Mad Gene Media. Furthermore, other executive producers are Elvira Lind, Gena Konstantinakos, Drew Comins, Matthew Bremner, Levenson, and Gomez-Rejon.
