Orlando Bloom is open to the idea of potentially reprising his Pirates of the Caribbean role.
Orlando Bloom portrayed Will Turner in the initial three installments of Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean series: “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” (2003), “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” (2006), and “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” (2007).
Three movies were initially released, and later came two more installments in the series: “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Strange Tides” from 2011 and “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” in 2017. However, Orlando Bloom was not involved in these subsequent films.
Jerry Bruckheimer is currently developing Pirates of the Caribbean 6, which appears to be a fresh start for the series. However, Bruckheimer has hinted that he would like Johnny Depp to return as Captain Jack Sparrow sometime down the line.
What did Orlando Bloom say about returning to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise?
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Bloom shared that producer Jerry Bruckheimer appears quite enthusiastic about the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean film.
Bloom commented, ‘I’m curious to witness what Jerry will unveil this time.’ You could say he often presents his most significant points, if we may use an analogy – and I apologize for any confusion, but let’s call them powerful arguments instead.
About another Pirates movie, Bloom mentioned, “Look, the experience was wild and fun, so I guess ‘never say never’ applies here. I hold that time in high regard, along with Jerry and everything else connected to it. But who can tell? It’s a topic I haven’t given much thought to yet.
He remarked, “It’s great to have been involved in something that seems durable enough to withstand the trials of time, and that’s quite impressive.
Currently, there’s no confirmed title or scheduled premiere date for the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean film.
