Konami has verified that a reimagining of the initial Silent Hill game is underway at Polish video game studio Bloober Team. Following their successful remastering of Silent Hill 2 for PS5 and PC, these skilled horror creators are currently engrossed in developing a complete overhaul of the original installment within the series.
OG Silent Hill Remake confirmed
At the conclusion of the Konami Press Start 2025 press conference, after an unveiling of Silent Hill F, Konami transitioned to Akira Yamaoka’s signature theme for the renowned horror series. On a screen shrouded in the franchise’s characteristic thick fog, Konami revealed that Bloober Team is developing a complete remake of the original Silent Hill game.
More recently, Bloober Team teamed up with Konami to reimagine Silent Hill 2 using Unreal Engine 5, a modern take on the acclaimed PlayStation 2 psychological horror game. Shortly after its debut, this particular installment in the series broke records as the highest-selling title within the franchise.
