Orange Re-release: Ram Charan’s popular romantic comedy to hit the theaters again after 15 years

15 years after its original theater debut, Ram Charan’s Telugu romantic comedy Orange, which garnered wide acclaim and applause from audiences upon release, is preparing for a comeback in cinemas. Despite an average performance at the box office when it first premiered, the film’s soundtrack has continued to receive exceptional praise to this day.

News about the upcoming re-launch of Orange was quickly spread across social media platforms and rapidly gained popularity. The re-release date has been set for Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025.

In this movie, if you’re not familiar, Ram Charan was joined by Genelia D’Souza as his leading lady. Additionally, well-known actors such as Shazahn Padamsee, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam, Pavitra Lokesh, Vennela Kishore, and others played significant roles.

The movie “Orange” was helmed by Bhaskar himself, who also penned its storyline. This production endeavor was brought to life by Nagendra Babu and was funded under the Anjana Productions banner. It premiered on November 26, 2010.

After achieving success with Magadheera, it’s worth noting that Ram Charan decided to work on Orange next, as he has a fondness for romantic movies, which led to him getting this chance.

Indeed, given the triumph of Magadheera, Kajal Aggarwal was initially thought suitable for a part in the movie. Nonetheless, the role ultimately landed on Shazahn Padamsee. Notably, the film was primarily filmed in Australia, with Sydney and Melbourne serving as its main locations.

It’s quite remarkable that “Orange” was the Indian budget movie filmed most extensively in Australia, boasting over half its cast and team being natives of the land.

Currently, Ram Charan is enjoying the success following the release of his latest film, Game Changer. This movie, a political action thriller directed by Shankar, has had a moderate run at the box office.
