For the chilling horror movie titled “Opus“, set to hit theaters on March 14, 2024, A24 has revealed character posters featuring renowned actor John Malkovich portraying a notorious cult leader. This film signifies A24’s initial foray into horror productions slated for 2025, as an independent studio.
The movie, titled Opus, is helmed by Mark Anthony Green both behind the camera for direction and scriptwriting. Alongside John Malkovich (renowned for his performances in Dangerous Liaisons, Bird Box, etc.), the cast includes Ayo Edebiri from The Bear, Juliette Lewis of Yellowjackets, Murray Bartlett from The White Lotus, Stephanie Suganami of Power Book II: Ghost, Young Mazino from Beef, Amber Midthunder of Prey, and Tony Hale, a familiar face from Veep.

What is Opus about?
The series, “Opus,” centers around the sensational comeback of a legendary pop star who’s been absent from the public sphere for decades. This event is billed as a unique, one-of-a-kind experience. Eager writer Ariel Ecton (portrayed by Edebiri) is on a quest for an exceptional tale when she receives an invitation to Alfred Moretti’s (Malkovich) secluded compound. As she delves deeper, she uncovers the truth about Alfred’s return amidst the swarm of journalists and the star’s devoted followers.
