As a dedicated fan of the captivating anime series OneRoom, I’m thrilled beyond words to hear about the upcoming animated novel game, OneRoom: Yui Hanasaka Memorial! Having followed the journey of Yui and the protagonist through thick and thin, it’s heartening to know that we’ll get a deeper insight into their lives, particularly during and after university.
Publishers Laplacian and creators Sakasauma have officially unveiled their upcoming interactive animated novel game titled “OneRoom: Yui Hanasaka Memorial,” scheduled for launch in the first quarter of 2025.
What is OneRoom: Yui Hanasaka Memorial?
OneRoom: Yui Hanasaka Memoria is a game that takes on an animated novel-like format, narrating the tale from the anime called OneRoom, which was brought to life by animation studio SMIRAL. In essence, we delve into the story of Yui Hanasaka.
The game encompasses seasons 2 and 3 of the animated series, primarily exploring the life of the main character and Yui Hanasaka, both during and beyond their university years. Their relationship encounters numerous challenges, yet it simultaneously flourishes, demonstrating its resilience and growth.
The creator of the initial anime series became part of the team at Sakasama, where he penned fresh, true-to-character monologues to enhance the complexity and richness of the characters’ narratives.
The game won’t take too much time, approximately 15-20 minutes, yet it offers some enticing rewards such as concept art, illustrations, and original sketches to the player.
The system is scheduled to go live on January 11, 2025, offering complete language support in English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
It will be available for PC via Steam, and can already be wishlisted there.
The game serves as more of a trial run rather than a complete game, primarily aimed at exploring and expanding the potential of the ongoing project the studio is currently engaged with.
