Sendhil Ramamurthy, with his extensive resume that spans from Heroes to Never Have I Ever, is an excellent fit for the regal character of Nefertari Cobra.
Netflix is finalizing its cast for “One Piece” Season 2. Not long after Katey Sagal and Mark Harelik were confirmed to be part of the live-action series, Netflix also revealed that Sendhil Ramamurthy will portray Nefertari Cobra in the eagerly awaited second season.
In the world of One Piece, Nefertari Cobra assumes the role of the ruler of Alabasta and heads the Nefertari clan. He’s not only married to Nefertari Titi but also the father of Nefertari Vivi.

Who else will star in One Piece Season 2?
Ramamurthy has been added to the cast of Season 2, alongside Sagal, Harelik, David Dastmalchian, Daniel Lasker, Camrus Johnson, Jazzara Jaslyn, Werner Coetser, Brendan Murray, Clive Russell, Callum Kerr, Julia Rehwald, Rob Colletti, and Ty Keogh. Each of these actors will play different characters in the show, with Ramamurthy being one of the newest additions.
The majority of the principal characters from One Piece are coming back for Season 2, featuring Iñaki Godoy portraying Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd taking on Nami, Jacob Romero playing Usopp, and Taz Skylar embodying Sanji. Additionally, Ilia Isorelys Paulino, Jeff Ward, and Michael Dorman will also be reprising their roles.
Known primarily for his portrayal of Mohinder Suresh in Heroes, Ramamurthy has also made appearances in Blind Dating, Ultimate Force, Covert Affairs, Beauty & the Beast, The Lifeguard, Reverie, After Everything, and Never Have I Ever.
One Piece Season 2 is still in production. The official synopsis for One Piece reads as follows:
“One Piece is a story about a group of young pirates led by Monkey D. Luffy on their seafaring adventures with his crew, including swordsman Roronoa Zoro, navigator Nami, storyteller Usopp (Romero), and chef Sanji. Luffy aspires to rule as the Pirate King and uncover the legendary pirate Gold Roger’s hidden treasure known as the One Piece.”
