The secretive man turns out to be Scopper Gaban, also recognized as Ya-san, who collaborated with the disbanded Roger Pirates.

As a devoted fan, I couldn’t help but delve deeper into the latest chapter, and boy, did it unveil some fascinating details about Gaban! It turns out that he is the proud father of Colon and was once married to the esteemed biology teacher at Walrus’ School, Ripley. Interestingly enough, Gaban resided on Elbaph Island with his wife. Notably, Gaban served as the right-hand man to the legendary Gol D Roger, a position that earned him comparisons to the Pirate King and his second-in-command, Silvers Rayleigh, in terms of strength.

The exact reason behind Gaban’s presence at Elbaph castle remains a mystery. Yet, in the subsequent chapter, it emerges that he retrieves the keys to Loki’s imprisonment from a concealed chamber. After securing these keys, the ex-Roger Pirates member challenges Luffy, proposing a duel if Luffy desired to release Loki.
