Recently, filmmaker Om Raut explained his reasoning behind casting Dhanush as the ideal actor to bring Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s character to life in a movie.
It’s crucial to thoroughly portray a biography about such an outstanding leader, as simply depicting his life and accomplishments isn’t sufficient. Instead, it’s important to equally highlight his vision, personal growth, and the wisdom he imparted.
Later, Om pointed out that Dhanush was an ideal choice because he could convincingly portray an intelligent demeanor on-screen.
According to him, “I believe there was no other suitable actor like Dhanush to portray the deep spiritual and intellectual essence of our project so beautifully on-screen. He is an ideal choice, and I, along with my entire team, are grateful that he decided to join us in this significant venture.

Om Raut faced backlash for attempting a biopic on Abdul Kalam
Returning to his role as director, Om encountered significant criticism following his previous production, Adipurush, which failed to impress audiences and was labeled a commercial failure at the box office.
