Olivia Rodrigo spills her GUTS World Tour concert special on Netflix (when to watch)

As a gamer who’s been through the highs and lows of countless virtual concerts, I can confidently say that watching Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS World Tour on Netflix is like leveling up to an epic boss battle. Having missed out on the in-person experience, this concert special feels like a dream come true – a chance to scream my heart out to my favorite songs without fear of waking the neighbors.

Is it a great thought to catch Olivia Rodrigo on tour? Absolutely! If you unfortunately missed her GUTS World Tour or simply yearn to re-experience the thrill of singing along to your favorite tunes in an arena, then get ready to enjoy the entire concert right from your living room, as Netflix is planning to stream it soon.

On October 2nd, fans were pleasantly surprised to find out that Rodrigo had scheduled an extra show for her GUTS World Tour. However, this additional performance was not a regular concert; it was actually the premiere of the “Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS World Tour” concert special, set to air on Netflix starting October 29th. This new concert film was helmed by director James Merryman and was filmed at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, where Rodrigo had performed two sold-out shows back in August.

Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS World Tour coming to Netflix!

Back in February 2024, I embarked on the thrilling GUTS World Tour, a journey that supported my second studio album titled GUTS. This tour has taken me to almost a hundred stages around the globe, and on October 22, it concludes with an exciting eight-show run in Australia. Throughout this tour, talented artists like Remi Wolf, Benee, PinkPantheress, The Breeders, and Chappell Roan warmed up the crowd for my performances.

As a die-hard fan, I was thrilled when Olivia Rodrigo dropped the documentary performance special “Olivia Rodrigo: Driving Home 2 U” on Disney+ back in March of this year, wrapping up the incredible success of her debut album “SOUR.” But now, I can hardly contain my excitement for her upcoming Netflix film – it’s going to be her first concert special ever! And with her chart-topping hits and albums, there’s no doubt that this performance is destined for success too.

In addition to unveiling the special, Rodrigo also posted a heartfelt message for fans on Netflix’s Tudum platform.

I am so excited to share the GUTS World Tour with my fans. For those of you who didn’t get a chance to rock out in-person, now you can have the best seats in the house! And to the fans who cheered, screamed, and danced with me, I am so glad we get to do it all over again!

Olivia Rodrigo

Although the duration of the film isn’t specified yet, whether it will encompass the entire 22-song playlist or not remains uncertain, you can anticipate that Rodrigo will perform all her popular tracks such as “Drivers License”, “Deja Vu”, “Good 4 U”, “Vampire”, “Bad Idea, Right?”, “Get Him Back!”, “Obsessed” and many more.

Rodrigo’s two albums, namely ‘GUTS’ and ‘SOUR’, have been recognized with a nomination for the Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards. Although ‘GUTS’ didn’t secure any trophies for Rodrigo, her album ‘SOUR’, particularly in 2022, earned her three Grammys: Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Drivers License”.

As a devoted fan of Rodrigo, I eagerly anticipate his Netflix concert special, which will serve as a triumphant finale and a celebration of the GUTS era. Yet, it’s impossible to ignore the bittersweet note that this event likely signifies the conclusion of the album’s journey. Just like any pop music enthusiast, I understand that the close of one chapter paves the way for another – though we may have to wait a while for what comes next! Regardless, I can hardly contain my excitement for this final emotional outpouring before seeing what Rodrigo has in store for us down the line.

Watch Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS World Tour only on Netflix on Oct. 29.
