In an unexpected turn of events in the world of contemporary video games, a fresh game development company called Clovers Production is creating an official follow-up to Okami for modern gaming platforms. This revelation came alongside updates about Helldivers 2’s Illuminate faction, The Witcher 4, and other exciting details. After years of anticipation, the sequel is now a tangible reality.

As officially confirmed and tentatively titled Okami Sequel, original game director Hideki Kamiya is back for another installment in the series after more than a decade at Platinum Games. In this upcoming video game, players will take on the role of sun god Amaterasu to save the world yet again.
The official synopsis from Capcom states that the game is being praised for its distinctive setting, touching narrative, and thrilling journeys. Essentially, they’ve started a new adventure similar to Okami.
Currently, Capcom’s latest venture is still in its infancy stages of development. Yet, with Kamiya back at the helm as director, the prospect of a comeback to Capcom’s beloved Zelda-esque adventure series is truly electrifying! Frankly, I can’t help but wonder if perhaps it’s time for God Hand 2, Capcom? Let’s make it happen!
After the unveiling of Bayonetta 3 and the disappointing scrapping of Scalebound, it’s wonderful to learn that renowned game creator Hideki Kamiya is once again involved in an exhilarating new endeavor. However, there’s no indication yet as to when this new game will be made available or on which systems it will debut.
