On January 26, 2025, the highly anticipated film starring Thalapathy Vijay, known as Thalapathy 69, will officially reveal its first look and title. The production team of the movie has recently announced this exciting news through a post on their social media platforms.
This year, we’ll get a sneak peek of the movie on Republic Day instead of its traditional unveiling on Vijay’s birthday (June 22). The producers have shared this news on social media and have also announced that approximately 69% of the filming has been wrapped up.
The creators revealed when we can expect to see the initial reveal, accompanied by a unique video compilation showcasing various movies featuring Vijay throughout his career. Moreover, the video concluded with an energetic tune, skillfully composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

It’s been previously suggested that the first glimpse of Thalapathy 69 might debut on January 26, 2025. Given the film’s military setting, it seems fitting for the update to be shared on this particular day, which is celebrated as Republic Day in India.
Additionally, whispers circulate that the film could be named Naalaiya Theerpu, a tribute to Thalapathy Vijay’s debut as a leading actor in 1992. Initially, it was planned for release during Diwali 2025; however, there are also murmurs that this supposed final movie might be delayed until Pongal 2026.

In the future, the film titled “Thalapathy 69” is rumored to be a blend of action, drama, and political themes. The main character, Vijay, will be portrayed by him, while Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde will share leading roles alongside him.
Besides them, actresses like Mamitha Baiju, Priyamani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, actor Narain, and several others are also taking on significant parts in this venture.
