Odessa Young & Joe Cole Watch a Sinking Ship in Exclusive The Damned Clip

As a seasoned gamer and horror movie enthusiast who’s braved countless nights alone with my Xbox controller, I can confidently say that The Damned looks like it’ll send shivers down my spine. The exclusive clip from Vertical’s newest horror drama has piqued my interest, especially with its impressive cast led by Odessa Young and Joe Cole.

Being a veteran of the survival-horror genre, I can appreciate the tense atmosphere and moral dilemmas presented in the film’s synopsis. The idea of making an impossible choice between rescuing shipwrecked crew members and prioritizing one’s own survival is a chilling premise that I’ve encountered in numerous games, yet it never fails to keep me on edge.

The fact that the movie has garnered a Tomatometer score of 78% on Rotten Tomatoes only further solidifies my anticipation for The Damned. I can’t wait to immerse myself in this dark and haunting tale, and see how the inhabitants of this isolated fishing outpost grapple with their decisions and face the consequences.

To top it off, as someone who’s spent countless hours battling against hordes of undead in various games, I can’t help but chuckle at the thought that these coastal residents might be grappling with a similar problem… only instead of zombies, it’s shipwrecked sailors. Guess some things are just unavoidable, whether you’re gaming or watching a horror movie!

Looking forward, ComingSoon will unveil a unique sneak peek of “The Damned,” the latest horror drama from Vertical, featuring Odessa Young (“Mothering Sunday”) in the role of Eva and Joe Cole (“Peaky Blinders”) as Daniel.

After making its first appearance at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival, the movie can now be watched in cinemas across the country. Since its initial release, it has received a Tomatometer rating of 78% on Rotten Tomatoes.
