O’Dessa Trailer: Sadie Sink Stars in Epic Rock Opera Movie

Searchlight Pictures has unveiled the official trailer for the upcoming rock opera epic, titled “O’Dessa,” starring Sadie Sink from Stranger Things. This film will make its world premiere at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival before streaming on Hulu starting March 13.

In a future after a cataclysm, this unique rock opera story follows a farm girl embarking on a grand adventure to retrieve a precious family keepsake. Her path takes her to an enigmatic and perilous metropolis where she encounters her soulmate. However, to rescue him from his spiritual plight, she must utilize the power of fate and music in its most challenging form.

The video showcases the unique backdrop and impressive musical sequences of the film, with Sink portraying a farm girl who sets out on a quest to recover a lost artifact. Alongside Sink, the star-studded cast includes Kevin Harrison Jr. as Euri Dervish, Regina Hall as Neon Dion, Murray Bartlett as Plutonovich, Mark Boone Junior as Father Walt, Pokey LaFarge as Vergil, Marinko Prga as Vulturo, and other talented actors.

The film titled O’Dessa is helmed by director Geremy Jasper (Patti Cake$), who also co-writes and produces alongside Jason Binnick. The production boasts 16 freshly composed songs, and it is produced by Michael Gottwald, Noah Stahl, and Rodrigo Teixeira. Taylor Friedman and Cornelia Burleigh are in charge of the project for Searchlight, while Jonathan Montepare, Dan Janvey, and Lourenço Sant’Anna serve as executive producers.
