Ashok Teja’s Telugu supernatural thriller movie titled Odela 2 hit theaters on April 17, 2025, but had a moderate run at the box office. Later, starting from May 8, it was made available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Now, it’s one of the most popular movies currently trending online.
It appears that many viewers have been sharing their opinions about the movie starring Tamannaah Bhatia, which they watched on OTT. To start, quite a few spectators have concurred that the film seems like a remake or reinterpretation of the well-loved movie Arundhati.
The movie has been labeled as an uncomplicated reboot of Anushka Shetty’s original film and many viewers don’t find it worth watching more than once. However, the film’s background score has received noticeable praise, with critics suggesting it did a decent job given the genre of the movie.
Essentially, viewers found the film unappealing because the creators didn’t effectively portray the presence of the supernatural or ghosts convincingly on-screen.
As a lifestyle expert, I must express my agreement with many who have labeled Odela 2 as a film to be avoided. From my perspective, it seems that this Telugu thriller failed to garner even a single redeeming quality for me or other viewers.

Apart from Tamannaah Bhatia, I had the privilege of seeing an impressive lineup in this film, including Hebah Patel, Vassishta N Simha, Murali Sharma, Sharath Lohitashwa, Yuva, Naga Mahesh, Vamsi, and Gagan Vihari, among others. Each one brought their unique talent to the screen, making it a truly memorable experience for me.
