According to reports, David Leitch, the director of Deadpool 2, is said to be discussing the possibility of helming Ocean’s 14, the upcoming addition to the beloved heist series.
As per a recent update from The InSneider, Jeff Sneider’s report suggests that Leitch is in discussions about possibly directing the upcoming film. Sneider mentions that circumstances may alter over time, but there’s a sense of optimism that Leitch will eventually seal the deal and take on the directorial role for the movie.
Beyond his role as the director of Deadpool 2, Leitch has also helmed movies like Atomic Blonde in 2017, Bullet Train released in 2022 (which starred Brad Pitt), and he served as an unaccredited co-director for John Wick in 2014.
What do we know about Ocean’s 14?
For about a year now, whispers of Ocean’s 14 have been circulating. As per a report from Deadline, there was a growing momentum for Ocean’s 14, with both Clooney and Pitt speculated to reprise their roles. Initially, Edward Berger was said to be in contention for directing the film, but subsequent discussions didn’t materialize as planned.
George Clooney hinted that Ocean’s Fourteen might be on its way during an interview with Mike Ryan from Uproxx in December 2023. He shared then, “We have a fantastic script for another Ocean’s movie now, so we may indeed make another one. It’s actually a terrific script.
