As a dedicated fan of The New York Times word games, I have grown fond of the daily challenge that the Strands puzzle presents. Each day brings a new spangram theme and a fresh set of words to locate on the grid. For those who are not familiar with the game, the spangram is a word or phrase formed by rearranging the letters in the theme clue.
The New York Times Word Game on July 27, 2024: A More Manageable Challenge
What are the NYT Strands answers for July 26?
On July 27, 2024, the New York Times Strands answers game will reveal the solution for its spangram puzzle, as well as the locations for all the remaining words that need to be identified. (Spangram is a word puzzle where the letters are rearranged to form multiple words.)
- Today’s Theme Clue: Bedtime story
- Spangram & Theme: GOODNIGHTMOON
- This spangram refers to the children’s book “Goodnight, Moon”. The first letter ‘G’ is found on the left edge of the grid and weaves around a few times through the center before ending to the right side.
- List of other word answers
- MITTENS – The ‘M’ here is next to the ‘G’ in the spangram. The word ends with the ‘S’ in the top-left corner.
- MUSH – The ‘M’ here is in the top row of the puzzle and curls quickly around to the ‘H’.
- KITTENS – This is another instance where the last letter ‘S’ ends in the corner, this time in the top-right.
- CLOCKS – The first letter ‘C’ is right next to the ‘D’ in the spangram. It then curls around the lower-left corner.
- NOBODY – This word starts on the lower edge of the grid and includes the ‘O’ in the lower-right corner.
- SOCKS – The first ‘S’ here is next to the ‘I’ and ‘N’ in the spangram. It populates the right side of the board.
I’ve encountered my fair share of challenging word searches in my time, but let me tell you, this list has a real doozy: the spangram. This elusive word has left even the most seasoned word searchers scratching their heads. It’s not that the letters are hidden haphazardly or that they’re spread across the board in an unforgiving way. No, it’s simply that the name of this book is so obscure, few people would know it off the top of their heads.
