NYT Strands July 25, 2024 Answers & Theme

As a seasoned gamer and long-time New York Times Strands enthusiast, I can confidently say that today’s puzzle presents quite the challenge. The theme for this July 25, 2024, edition is not as straightforward as previous ones, and finding all nine words feels like an uphill battle.

As a gamer, I’ve found today’s NYT Strands puzzle to be quite a challenge compared to yesterday’s. The theme clue doesn’t seem to match up well with the spangram, and it’s not as obvious as it can be at times. Additionally, there are nine words to find in this puzzle, which might be easier said than done since working out smaller words in the 8 by 6 grid becomes more difficult with all the possibilities. However, we’re lucky enough to have the answers for this New York Times word game below. Here is the complete solution for the Strands game on July 25, 2024.

What are the NYT Strands answers for July 25, 2024?

On July 25, 2024, I have compiled all the solutions for the Strands game. For the spangram puzzle, we’ll give you the answer. As for the other words, we will reveal their locations.

  • Today’s Theme Clue: All that jazz
  • Spangram & Theme: SUBGENRE
    • The ‘S’ in this word starts on the left edge of the grid and works its way through the middle to the right side.
  • List of other word answers
    • FUSION – This can be found curled up in the top-left corner of the grid.
    • MODAL – This will likely be one of the hardest words to figure out on the list, since it’s not a common word. The ‘M’ you need is next to the ‘I’ in the “FUSION” answer above with the word occupying the top of the grid.
    • SWING – This word goes around the top-right corner of the puzzle.
    • ACID – Slightly below “SWING”, you’ll find this word, which refers to a type of jazz.
    • RAGTIME – Found in the lower-left corner, this old-timey style of jazz started in the 1890s.
    • BEBOP – The first ‘B’ is found on the lower edge of the grid. Perhaps anime fans of “Cowboy Bebop” will recognize this word more easily.
    • COOL – This word is short and sweet, winding itself in the lower-right corner.
    • FUNK – This short word is found beneath the spangram on the right side of the puzzle.

Based on my own experiences, I can tell you that solving a crossword puzzle can be both fun and frustrating. If you get stuck on a particular clue, though, there’s no shame in using a hint to help move things along. In fact, during my younger days, when I first started doing crosswords regularly, I often found myself relying heavily on hints to fill in the blanks.
