NVIDIA to introduce monthly 100-hour play limit to GeForce NOW in January 2025

As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming experience under my belt, I must say that I find the recent announcement by NVIDIA regarding the 100-hour monthly play limit for GeForce NOW rather intriguing. It’s like they’ve set up a digital curfew for us gamers!

Beginning in January 2025, the GeForce NOW service by NVIDIA is planning some notable updates. Certain subscription plans will be subject to a 100-hour monthly usage limit, aiming to maintain a good balance of quality, speed, and wait times during gameplay.

NVIDIA has revealed that starting in January 2025, a new system limiting GeForce NOW usage to 100 hours per month will be implemented. This restriction applies to both Performance and Ultimate subscribers. Any unused time can rollover to the next month, but only up to a maximum of 15 hours. If you exceed the 100-hour limit in a given month, you’ll have the option to buy more gaming time at $2.99 for an additional 15 hours of Performance or $5.99 for an extra 15 hours of Ultimate service.

As a gamer myself, I’ve got to say, this latest move by NVIDIA seems quite intriguing. It appears they’re making some adjustments to save some bandwidth for their GeForce NOW service – a platform that’s been my go-to for years, offering a gaming experience similar to services like Game Pass and PlayStation Now.

As the hour restrictions on GeForce Now take effect from January 2025, keep a lookout for further announcements and information, all of which will be shared right here on Shacknews.
