Now You See Me Live Stream Paid People $250,000 to Market Part 3 Trailer

After nine years since the debut of Now You See Me 2, Lionsgate has unveiled the trailer for the third installment in the franchise in a grand manner by gifting $250,000 to fans through Venmo transfers. Titled Now You See Me: This Time It’s Real, the movie brings back the original Four Horsemen – Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, James Franco, and Isla Fisher, along with a fresh group of illusionists.

To generate excitement for Now You See Me 3, Lionsgate organized a live broadcast in New York’s Times Square. Towards the conclusion of this event, they unveiled the movie trailer and distributed money to certain spectators.

How people got paid on Venmo through a Now You See Me live stream

On April 29th, a giant billboard in Times Square showcased Now You See Me 3 to promote its upcoming movie trailer. The advertisement displayed “NOW YOU SEE ME” on the screen, along with a live countdown clock and a sign saying “Text for magic: 631-566-98263.” This way, New York residents were given an opportunity to participate in some magic by texting the provided number.

The people who decided to engage with the phone number were later surprised to find $119.16 deposited into their Venmo accounts at the conclusion of the timer. In addition to this unexpected money, these enthusiasts were also treated to a sneak peek of the first trailer for Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. The filmmakers behind the project set aside a substantial $250,000 to reward unsuspecting fans through their innovative marketing strategy.

Can you still get paid on Venmo with Now You See Me’s live stream?

The Venmo giveaway in Now You See Me 3 ended when the countdown during the live stream reached zero. Therefore, only those viewers who sent a text to the displayed phone number while the live stream was active could claim the offer. Unfortunately, anyone attempting to send a message after the countdown finished did not receive any money.

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is currently on track to hit theatres on November 14, 2025.
