As a seasoned gamer who’s spent countless hours navigating through action-packed video games, I can’t help but feel a strange sense of camaraderie with Jesse Eisenberg. His broken finger during the filming of Now You See Me 3 is not unlike the blisters and bruises my virtual alter ego has endured in pursuit of victory.
The upcoming movie titled “Now You See Me 3” promises to deliver a gripping addition to the heist-thriller series, so much so that Jesse Eisenberg suffered an injury during filming. In his own words, he managed to avoid any injuries until the final stages of shooting the third movie.
The original Now You See Me film premiered in cinemas back in 2013, with its sequel appearing three years afterwards. Nearly a decade has passed since the second installment was released, and the third movie in the series is set to debut on November 14, 2025.
What did Jesse Eisenberg say about Now You See Me 3?
During the red carpet premiere of A Real Pain at the BFI London Film Festival, Eisenberg revealed that due to the high-action nature of Now You See Me 3, he actually fractured a finger while filming the movie.
The actor shared with Total Film that we’ve been in Budapest for the past three months, and I almost managed to make it to the end without causing any damage. Moreover, the film is simply amazing, and it’s being directed by Ruben Fleischer – this is our fourth project together.
He added, “Each day, we step onto the set and can hardly believe it, as the scenery, the enchantment, the cast – it’s all incredibly, undeniably magical.
In a separate interview during the same red carpet event, the actor told On Demand Entertainment:
Eisenberg mentioned that it’s quite uncomfortable for him,” he said, pointing to his finger. “I’m working on the third Now You See Me film, and there’s a lot of action involved. To be honest, I think I’m more of an action star in my head than my body seems willing to admit.
As a thrilled fan, I’m excited to share that not only will Jesse Eisenberg be reprising his role as Danny Atlas, but also joining him are some familiar faces! Woody Harrelson steps back into the shoes of Merritt McKinney, Isla Fisher dons Henley Reeves’ attire once more, Dave Franco returns as Jack Wilder, and interestingly, another Dave Franco is part of the cast too. Morgan Freeman continues his enigmatic portrayal of Thaddeus Bradley, Mark Ruffalo re-embraces Dylan Rhodes, Lizzy Caplan takes up Lula May’s role again, and Daniel Radcliffe rounds off the lineup as Walter Mabry. It’s going to be a magical experience!
Additionally, actors Rosamund Pike, Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt are set to join the cast of Now You See Me.
