As a die-hard fan of classic horror films and the macabre, I must admit that the new Nosferatu poster has sent chills down my spine! With Robert Eggers at the helm, this remake promises to be a masterpiece that will send shivers through generations of horror enthusiasts.

A new Nosferatu poster is out, teasing the menacing look of the infamous Count Orlok in Robert Eggers‘ remake of the iconic film.

The recently unveiled billboard is remarkably straightforward and showcases only the chilling outline of Count Orlok, standing ominously in the darkness. A solitary beam of light accentuates certain aspects of him, such as his menacing claws.

What do we know about Nosferatu?

Nosferatu, released in modern times, is a fresh take on the 1922 movie bearing the same title. This original film was a creative but unofficial interpretation of Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel Dracula, titled Dracula itself. The current version is penned and helmed by Eggers, who has previously directed movies like The Witch (2015), The Lighthouse (2019), and The Northman (2022).

As a gamer, I’d rephrase that line like this: “In the movie, alongside Skarsgård, I find myself playing roles alongside Nicholas Hoult (Thomas Hutter), Lily-Rose Depp (Ellen Hutter), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Friedrich Harding), Emma Corrin (Hanna Harding), Willem Dafoe (Professor Albin Eberhart Von Franz), Simon McBurney (Herr Knock), and Ralph Ineson (Dr. Wilhelm Sievers).

The synopsis for Robert Eggers’ film, “Nosferatu”, describes a chilling narrative where an enigmatic young woman and a horrifying vampire, captivated by each other, unfold a tale of deep obsession that leaves a trail of unimaginable terror in its path.

Nosferatu releases in United States theaters on December 25, 2024, from Focus Features.
