North American Sex Pistols fans get some most excellent news

The Sex Pistols appear to have an ongoing career. Depending on whom you ask from the band, the punk legends were either intended as a one-album group or never had a set date for disbanding. They only released one studio album and it seems unlikely they’ll produce another. However, their live performances persist.

Last year, the three founding members of the band (Steve Jones, Paul Cook, and Glen Matlock) reunited, and Frank Carter came on board as the vocalist. However, John Lydon (previously Johnny Rotten), didn’t take kindly to this reunion, and he’s made it clear that he prefers being confrontational rather than cooperative about the group in the past.

While it’s not as if another famous band member could effortlessly step into Johnny Rotten’s shoes, most fans will forever associate the 1977 Sex Pistols with Lydon’s fiery lyrics and the group’s intense, rebellious music. That was the essence of punk rock.

Sex Pistols announce run of North American shows starting in late summer

Carter’s not one to shy away from hard work. He made a name for himself with Gallows in their early years, putting on some fantastic performances alongside them. If the Sex Pistols are your cup of tea and you plan to catch them live, which I highly recommend, then rest assured that Carter would be an excellent substitute if Johnny Lydon decides not to perform.

Great news! You could potentially catch the band performing live this summer, with plans to play their iconic album “Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols” in its entirety. They’ve announced some European tour dates, but there was initially no hint of any potential North American performances. However, that situation has now evolved.

Following their European tour, the Sex Pistols plan to perform a series of shows in North America, starting on September 16 and ending on October 16. Here’s the schedule for these concerts:
