As a ramen enthusiast who has traveled far and wide in search of the perfect bowl, I must say that Nongshim America truly outdid themselves at this year’s Korean Restaurant Week in NYC! Their pop-up events were slurp-worthy experiences that left me craving more.
Nongshim America knows how to create an enjoyable experience! The Korean ramen company made a splash at various venues in New York City, including a pop-up at the Korean Cultural Center during Korean Restaurant Week. During the period of October 28th to November 7th, Korean Restaurant Week in NYC invited customers to savor authentic Korean cuisine while receiving a 10% discount at twenty-six participating restaurants. The K-Culture Passport granted access to these establishments, which included popular spots like Bangia, BarBam, Barn Jo Nomad, New Wonjo, NUBIANI, Octo Restaurant, Pocha 32, Rib No.7, Samwoojung, Seoul Salon, Sojuhaus, Take 31, The Maze 32, The Kunjip, TOUS les JOURS, Turntable LP Bar & Karaoke, Yoon Haeundae GalbiBarn Joo 35, Barn Joo Union Square, Dons Bogam Wine Bar & BBQ, Sopo Korean Eats, Han Bat, Handsome Rice, Hojokban, Hyo Dong Gak, and KOBA Korean BBQ.
During October 31st and November 1st, a free Food Truck event was held alongside the main event at the KCC, serving more than 1,000 cups of Cup Noodles. This food truck dished out complimentary samples of Korea’s beloved instant ramen noodles in various locations such as Washington Square Park, NOHO, Brooklyn DUMBO, and Times Square (specifically KCCNY). Attendees were able to savor different types of ramen while immersing themselves in K-Culture. Over the three-day event, approximately 2000 people attended.
