The production companies involved are 87North, Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment, and Eighty Two Films, led by Kelly McCormick, David Leitch, Marc Provissorio, and Braden Aftergood respectively. Jay Polidoro and Tony Ducret from Universal Pictures will oversee the project.

In the initial release, Hutch Mansell, a former assassin, was drawn back into the criminal underworld.
