'No one is going to look at you': When Nayanthara called her Adhurs’ co-star Jr NTR a 'brat'

As a long-time follower of the Tamil film industry, I have to say that Nayanthara‘s candid confessions about her co-stars Jr NTR and Prabhas are a refreshing change from the usual polished interviews we see. It’s clear that she has a unique rapport with both these stars, and their playful banter on set must have been quite a sight to behold!

In 2010, stars Junior NTR and Nayanthara appeared together in the movie “Adhurs.” This action-comedy film was a massive hit at the box office, receiving rave reviews for the electrifying chemistry between the leads, who ignited the screen. However, did you know that during their time on set, Nayanthara playfully referred to her co-star Junior NTR as a ‘Brat’?

2022 saw Jawan actress preparing for the debut of her film Connect, as she sat down for an interview with Dhivyadharshini and Suma Kanakala (Dhivyadharshini and Suma Kanakala). During this casual chat, when Bigil actress was inquired about working with Jr NTR, she amusingly recounted a funny on-set anecdote.

Nayanthara stated, “I believe he can be quite mischievous too. On one occasion, I was making some minor adjustments or corrections, and he kept staring at me. I asked him what was going on, wondering if something was amiss, and he questioned why I was doing so much touching up. I replied that I was only doing it because it was necessary. He then said that no one would look at me, everyone would focus on him instead.

For those unfamiliar, “Adhurs” is a movie directed by V.V. Vinayak. The story follows two brothers who were separated at birth and grew up in different environments. As adults, their lives intertwine once again, with complications arising when one of them gets abducted by a group of criminals.

During the same interview, Nayanthara playfully referred to Prabhas as a mischievous fellow too. She, known for her role in Annapoorani, described him, star of Kalki 2898 AD, as extremely sweet and immature. Furthermore, Nayanthara shared that when she collaborated with Prabhas, he was quite the handful – always hopping around and telling jokes on set.

In the course of an interview, I found myself admiring Prabhas for his remarkable rise to stardom. Notably, I had the privilege of working alongside him in Yogi back in 2007.
