As a long-time fan of The Breakfast Club and a follower of Jess Hilarious’ career, I was taken aback by the recent rumors floating around about her being fired from the show. However, upon further investigation and DJ Envy’s clarification, it appears these rumors are nothing more than misinformation or perhaps a case of overactive imaginations.
Jessica, also known as Jess Hilarious, is a comedian and actress who’s faced various controversies during her professional journey. Recently, there have been whispers suggesting that she may no longer be the co-host on the syndicated radio program, The Breakfast Club.
Here is everything we have learned about whether Jess Hilarious was fired.
Did Jess Hilarious get fired from The Breakfast Club?
Contrary to some reports, Jess Hilarious hasn’t been let go as the host of The Breakfast Club. These speculations about her dismissal have been around since early 2024, but it’s important to note that she hadn’t even started hosting at that point yet. One of the show’s hosts, DJ Envy, has confirmed that these rumors are false.
In a chat with Page Six, Envy shared his opinion that among all theories, the funniest one emerged after our return from vacation. According to him, during this brief period, it was claimed that [Jess] managed to work just a single day before being let go.
The DJ clarified, ‘Just so you know, she hasn’t been working or in the city. She won’t arrive until February 5th. There seems to be a lot of misinformation circulating, and we’re seeing many unfounded criticisms.’
It was during a photoshoot for promoting their fresh line-up that envy arose between Jess Hilarious, Charlamagne Tha God, and the third host, as rumors about comedian’s dismissal started surfacing online. On February 5, 2024, Jess Hilarious made her debut on The Breakfast Club.
I’ve been hearing some buzz lately about my favorite comedian being absent from the show, but as Envy points out at the beginning of this episode, Jess Hilarious is taking some well-deserved time off for maternity leave. She and her partner, Chris, recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl into their family. On top of that, she’s also a proud mom to a son named Ashton from a previous relationship.
Significantly, Jess faced criticism when she made disrespectful comments towards Chadwick Boseman in a 2020 social media post. Later, it was discovered that Boseman had been battling colon cancer. He tragically passed away on August 28, 2020. Since then, Jess Hilarious has publicly apologized for her insensitive remarks.
