Parody article causes fans to think Elon Musk has been hospitalized
In a playful twist, the popular satirical publication, The Onion, sparked excitement among Elon Musk followers by publishing an article suggesting that the SpaceX CEO had been admitted to the hospital due to serious burns. The amusing tale further claimed that Musk had incurred these injuries while attempting an unusual endeavor – trying to conceive with a toaster.
The parody post sparked a variety of humorous reactions, some people even playfully claiming that “verifying facts is just a form of control.” Many comments suggested that Elon Musk‘s social media platform, X (previously known as Twitter), lacks thorough fact-checking.

Despite some unfounded rumors suggesting he was hospitalized recently, Elon Musk did indeed have neck surgery this past month. He himself confirmed the news through updates on X, saying, “I’m recovering from neck surgery and it’s quite painful, but it was essential.
He went into more detail about his history of neck and back problems, saying, “I’ve undergone five surgeries on my neck and back. The third one, a C5-C6 fusion, was successful in reducing the pain from unbearable to manageable. Unfortunately, the nerve exiting from the right facet joint is inflamed, and the opening it passes through needs to be expanded.
Wow, quite a tale you’ve got there! I’ve undergone five surgical procedures on my neck and back.
The third one, a C5-C6 fusion surgery, was particularly effective in reducing my intense pain to something more manageable.
Nevertheless, the nerve departing from the right facet joint is inflamed, and the opening it leaves through, known as the foramen, required an intervention of some sort.

In a conversation on the Full Send Podcast, Elon Musk talked about past injuries he sustained from wrestling with a sumo wrestler. He explained, “I’ve carried this issue for quite some time… During a match, I managed to toss him, but in the process, I strained my neck.” Musk mentioned that despite undergoing two surgeries, the discomfort lingered because he had compressed his C5-C6 disc during the wrestling match.
Ever since my surgery on January 12, I’ve been making a remarkable recovery. On January 20, the CEO of Tesla, that’s me, seemed full of energy during Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the United States. I also gave an impassioned speech to a crowd that greeted me with thunderous applause at the event.
