In a recent conversation, Nithya candidly criticized the movie business for frequently displaying scenes of ruthlessness, as performers are sometimes required to act while unwell or in discomfort.
She disclosed that filmmakers frequently require actors to show up on set regardless of circumstances, and over time, actors become accustomed to this kind of mistreatment.
Nithya stated, “Films exhibit a subtle lack of humanity. Regardless of one’s illness or hardships, they require you to perform tasks and attend shootings. This is simply expected, and over time, we grow accustomed to it. No matter the circumstances, we must persevere.
Despite this, the diva boldly shared an unexpected encounter during her collaboration with director Mysskin on the 2020 film Psycho. She recalled experiencing her period on the initial day of filming and enduring considerable discomfort.
Consequently, Nithya disclosed that she had run out of choices and needed to confide in Mysskin regarding her predicament. To her astonishment, she found herself captivated by the compassionate reaction from this male director, who merely suggested she take a break and cease all activities.
She reminisced, “For the first time, I disclosed to a male director that I was on my period. He inquired if it was my first day. That’s when I felt incredibly understood and compassionate towards him. He said, ‘Take a break. Don’t do anything else right now. You can complete this task and then go upstairs.’
It’s worth noting that Nithya still maintains a wonderful relationship with the filmmaker. Just recently, they ran into each other at a function. At this formal gathering, the actress adorably requested Mysskin to abstain from giving her hugs or squeezes as she was all dressed up for the event.
