In this week’s March 2025 Direct presentation, Nintendo revealed details about their new app, Nintendo Today. As per information on its website, you can download Nintendo Today onto your Apple or Android device through the App Store and Google Play. All you need is a Nintendo Online Account to access it. Once logged in, users can expect regular updates and news from Nintendo, along with an animated calendar featuring Nintendo characters and themes, as well as comics related to popular games.
It appears that one intriguing aspect of this app is that Nintendo positioned it as a counterpart to their Direct broadcasts, serving as a key source for updates about their video games. However, it’s worth noting that the Nintendo Directs are not being phased out; instead, it seems that the Nintendo Today app will likely become the main channel for daily news on Nintendo’s games and events following next week’s Nintendo Switch 2 Direct.
