In the announcement trailer for the Nintendo Switch 2, the spotlight was mainly on its hardware, yet there was a hint about one of the initial exclusive games for the new console. Towards the end of the Switch 2 trailer, it seemed like they were subtly hinting at the next installment in the Mario Kart series.
As a devoted fan, I couldn’t help but be thrilled when, towards the end of the Nintendo Switch 2 reveal trailer, I caught a glimpse of the console running a Mario Kart game, seamlessly switching between Handheld and TV modes. Since Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has wrapped up its DLC journey, and the game in the trailer boasted an unseen track, it’s safe to say this is likely the next chapter in the legendary Mario Kart series!
As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but get excited about the prospect of a brand-new Mario Kart game for the upcoming Switch 2 console. After all, it makes perfect sense considering that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has already earned its place as the best-selling game on the current Switch platform. So here’s to hoping for another thrilling racing adventure with our favorite Nintendo characters!
As a devoted gaming enthusiast, I’m eagerly waiting for Nintendo’s official reveal of more upcoming Switch 2 games during their dedicated Direct on April 2. Despite the suspense, Nintendo has reassured us that the Switch 2 will support both physical and digital Switch games through backwards compatibility, allowing us to enjoy our favorite titles on the new console.
