Nintendo suspends new Alarmo orders in Japan following higher-than-expected sales

As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for all things Nintendo, I must say that the new Alarmo interactive alarm clock has me intrigued! The idea of waking up to my favorite video game tunes and themes is a dream come true. However, it seems that the excitement is not confined to just me, as evidenced by the unexpected surge in sales in Japan.

Earlier this week, Nintendo made its latest Alarmo interactive alarm clock available for purchase to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, but with limited stock. However, despite this restriction, the item has been selling incredibly fast in certain regions. In Japan, they’ve announced that they’ve received more orders than anticipated and will temporarily halt the sale method for Nintendo Subscribers due to overwhelming demand. They plan to resume sales in Japan using a lottery system soon.

On their official social media platform, Nintendo Japan shared exciting news about unexpectedly high sales of Alarmo within the region. Essentially, the post is communicating that sales of this product have surpassed expectations.

It’s worth noting that this only seems to be in effect in the Japanese region for now. Going to the Nintendo Alarmo product page in the US still allows a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber to add the clock to their cart. That said, the situation in Japan could be a sign of things elsewhere if Alarmo continues to sell successfully. It’s most certainly a charming new product from Nintendo, playing a game sounds and showing themes from a variety of popular Nintendo titles including Mario Odyssey, Breath of the Wild, and Pikmin 4.

Starting this week, Nintendo’s Alarmo sales are underway! Keep an eye on our site, Shacknews, for the latest news and updates as they unfold.
