As a longtime fan of survival horror thrillers and a connoisseur of rising talents in the film industry, I can hardly contain my excitement for “Night Comes.” With the first official photo unveiled, featuring Dafne Keen and Samatha Lorraine as sisters, this movie promises to be an electrifying addition to the genre.
The first official photo for the upcoming survival horror thriller movie Night Comes has been revealed. It provides the audiences with a first look at Dafne Keen and Samatha Lorraine, who are expected to play sisters.
For the first time, Keen is embarking on a film project, building upon her triumphant comeback as Laura/X-23 in Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine, which currently holds the title as the highest-grossing R-rated movie ever made. The budding talent also made an appearance as a Padawan in the Star Wars series The Acolyte. Following Night Comes, she will also be featured in Corin Hardy’s upcoming horror film Whistle alongside Sophie Nelisse from Yellowjackets and Nick Frost of Shaun of the Dead.
What is Night Comes about?
As I sat down to watch this movie, I found myself immersed in a world on the brink of disaster. A catastrophic event loomed over humanity, and I was about to witness the battle for survival that ensued. Fortunately, two sisters managed to elude the chaos. However, their respite was short-lived as they were suddenly faced with a life-or-death mission. The outcome of this quest hung in the balance, and if successful, it would determine the fate of mankind itself.
In the style of Birdbox and The Descent, the movie Night Comes is helmed by actor Jay Hernandez (Suicide Squad), who also co-wrote the screenplay with Jason Bourque and Nancy Isaak. This is Hernandez’s first time directing a feature film. Alexander Ludwig, known for his role in The Hunger Games, alongside Keen and Lorraine, is among the cast members set to appear in this movie. Production is handled by Shaun Redick, Yvette Yates Redick, Jacky Lai, and Jayce Barreiro, with Hernandez, Keen, Jared Zhang, Graem Luis, and Jason Bourque serving as executive producers. Night Comes comes from the production houses Big Picture Cinema, The Exchange, and Impossible Dream Entertainment.
