As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve just got word straight from the horse’s mouth (EA) about the upcoming NHL 25 release. The action is set to drop exclusively on next-gen consoles, namely the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. Regrettably, it seems like PC gamers are going to miss out on this one for now. Mark your calendars, because NHL 25, developed by EA Vancouver and EA Bucharest, will be available to grab starting October 4, 2024, on PlayStation® 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
In a previously recorded, online demonstration of NHL 25 the day before, I inquired from EA about the possibility of the game being released on PC. However, when this article was posted, no one had provided an answer to that query.
For another year running, PC gaming enthusiasts eager for NHL action find themselves disappointed, and if I were a bettor, this trend is likely to persist in the future. EA’s publishing division appears uninterested in funding the NHL franchise development. While games like Madden and FIFA are readily available on PC platforms, their player bases significantly outnumber that of the NHL franchise. However, I frequently encounter individuals who refrain from purchasing the latest NHL game because it is not accessible on PC, demonstrating a substantial market base for the title.
Electronic Arts announced that the Hughes brothers (all three) will grace the cover for NHL 25, with an expected launch date set for October 4, 2024. If you’d like to get a head start by seven days, consider pre-ordering the deluxe edition after taking out a second mortgage on your property.
