August 23rd is when the hidden details about the new Valorant agent in Episode 9 will be disclosed. As reported by ValorantUpdated, this yet-to-be-unveiled character is expected to assume an initiator role within the game.

It will be Riot Games’ seventh initiator. Below is the list of initiators currently available:
- Sova
- Breache
- Skye
- KAY/O
- Fade
- Gekko
Sadly, beyond its function and unveiling time, little else is publicly disclosed about the character, based on available information.
In Episode 9’s Act 1 trailer, one of the previews showed a scene. The trailer concluded with a quick, visually striking moment: spiky plant roots and thorns emerging from fissures in the soil.
Furthermore, the Abyss map trailer concluded with an intriguing hint. In this teaser, a claw could be seen enclosed within some container. Initially, the claw remained motionless. However, as if coming to life, it began to move, suggesting that the new agent had emerged from slumber.
