In an unexpected move, Scaffold unveiled a fresh trailer for their upcoming turn-based brawler game titled “TMNT: Tactical Takedown“. What’s even more exciting is that the release date was disclosed, suggesting that fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles won’t have to endure a lengthy wait before they can get their hands on it.
When is the TMNT: Tactical Takedown release date?
On May 22nd, the tactical action game TMNT: Tactical Takedown is set to release for PC through Steam. A demo of the game will be accessible during this year’s Game Developers Conference as part of Day of the Devs. The conference takes place from March 17th to March 21st, giving attendees a chance to explore the upcoming game before its official launch. Take a look at the latest trailer below.
The description says, “This fresh take on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe is inspired by the original cartoon.” In this new storyline, Splinter and Shredder are no longer present, and as the turtles mature, they’re not just growing older, they’re drifting apart.
In this game, you’ll command Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, and Raphael through 20 ever-changing stages. Your mission is to defeat the Foot Clan and their formidable leader. Each turtle has a distinct set of abilities, and players can utilize special moves strategically against their foes. You’ll also have the chance to customize your loadouts and acquire new skills during the 20-level journey.
In the latest installment, TMNT: Tactical Takedown, Strange Scaffold – known for creating games such as I Am Your Beast, Clickholding, and El Paso, Elsewhere – has penned a fresh narrative. The visuals draw inspiration from graphic novel art. Notably, the game’s music is masterfully composed by RJ Lake, who has previously created scores for Unbeatable and I Am Your Beast.
Xalavier Nelson Jr., founder of Strange Scaffold, expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards Doug Rosen and the Paramount team for their partnership and faith in our team’s unique vision when they announced the game. He exclaimed, “Who else can claim they’re making a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game where the very first lines of dialogue confirm that Shredder and Splinter have perished?
