In the coming year, there are numerous intriguing plans lined up for TFD. Recently, Nexon released their initial update for the new year, which includes a variety of changes, but one specific adjustment has left The First Descendant players lamenting about an “unwanted or undeserved nerf.

Fans can take a look at The First Descendant’s 2025 roadmap to catch up on all the thrilling announcements made by Nexon so far. On January 16th, players will gain access to the new character, Ines Raya, who is known to have electric-based abilities. Throughout the rest of the year, fans can expect to experience “jiggle physics” at some point and Nexon plans to incorporate a photo mode for Season 3.

Enthusiasts of TFD can look forward to an optimistic future for the game, but as it stands, Nexon has unveiled update 1.2.3. This update comes with a substantial list of changes, and players are jokingly disappointed by a balance adjustment (or “nerf”) affecting Ultimate Sharen.

The First Descendant fans bemoan Ultimate Sharen “nerf”

In the update 1.2.3 of The First Descendant, as detailed in the patch notes provided by Nexon, a correction has been made to the Ultimate Sharen ability.

  • Fixed an issue where when the Descendant “Ultimate Sharen” respawned with the “Classic Maid Uniform” Body Skin equipped, the Descendant’s appearance was incorrectly displayed.

As a gamer, I’ve noticed something peculiar if you don’t have Ultimate Sharen or the classic maid uniform in our game. A bug occurred where the lower part of the maid uniform would vanish, revealing Sharen’s underwear. Thankfully, the developers have squashed that bug! However, some players on Reddit are jokingly mourning the change, with one user humorously commenting, “It’s the nerf we didn’t ask for or want.

In the more substantial updates, you’ll find genuine enhancements (or boosts) for both weapons and modules. Here’s a breakdown:

  • Maximum capacity of High-Power Rounds has been increased from 25 – 50.

    • Special Rounds Charge Improvement: Reduced the number of Special Rounds consumed from 120 – 30.
    • Impact Rounds Charge Improvement: Reduced the number of Impact Rounds consumed from 25 – 6.
  • Reduced the capacity of the High-Power Rounds Exclusive Rounds Conversion Module.
    • Reduced the capacity from 16 to 6 to 12 to 2.

The user clarifies that no one enjoys having to relinquish control or switch to a status tool just to replenish ammunition for the guns they prefer using in the game. Running out of bullets is undeniably the least enjoyable feature you can encounter in a loot shooter title.

Furthermore, many gamers are still displeased that Nexon hasn’t resolved the problem causing Albion to crash frequently, as some players describe it as “persistently crashing and becoming unplayable”.
