New The First Descendant character reworks are huge, but a mixed bag

Although this patch is now live, it brings more than just introducing Ines Raya to TFD. This update has significantly revamped three characters within the game, but the new character reworks for The First Descendant are substantial yet have their pros and cons.

Valby, Luna and Jayber got skill adjustments in Update 1.2.4! ⚙️ Experience the changes now!

The changes made to Valby are truly impressive and beneficial for Luna as well. Regrettably, players are displeased about the changes made to Jayber.

In the responses regarding X, there are remarks like, “I implore the creators of TFD. Could you please equip Jayber’s towers with the ability to cause damage? Although they are visually appealing, they currently lack the power to match the damage output of other players.

Jayber seems to need more work, this isn’t quite right,” and “If Jayber’s traits don’t improve, he’s taking up an unnecessary character spot.” Another suggestion is: “Adjusting Jayber is a laughing matter. I wish you all would put more effort into balancing the game instead of just making the female characters overpowered.

It’s apparent, even though not directly mentioned, that female characters in TFD are given more tasks, better cosmetics, and enhancements because they are the most beloved characters. This is reflected in the greater significance of updates for Valby and Luna, who enjoy high popularity, compared to Jayber, who unfortunately isn’t as popular.

For the latest on The First Descendant, fans can examine the upcoming 2025 roadmap, while eagerly anticipating the unveiling of the highly-anticipated new Season 3 character, who is already generating buzz with their initial official details.
