Here are all the key details about the Tesla Model Y Juniper.
New Tesla Model Y Juniper detailed
The electric vehicle, known as Tesla Model Y or Juniper, is anticipated to start delivery in China come March, followed by Australia in May. As of now, there’s no clear timeline as to when this model will be available in the U.S. or Europe.
The latest Model Y belongs to Tesla’s Launch lineup and offers two options: a Rear-Wheel Drive version, and a Long Range model with All-Wheel Drive.
On Tesla’s official website, it is stated that the price of the Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) model in China is 263,500 yuan, while the Long Range All-Wheel Drive (AWD) version costs 303,500 yuan. In Australia, the cost for the RWD version is AUD $63,400, and the Long Range AWD version comes with a price tag of AUD $73,400.
The model comes with major changes to the exterior design, these include:
- Extremely thin headlights connected with a light strip in front of the car’s hood
- The front bumper of the model now has new air vents
- The car’s backlight is now one long red light bar.
The interiors have the following features:
- The interior of the car has wrap-around interior lighting and soft-touch finishes. The seats are ventilated and the car is equipped with a 15.4-inch touchscreen.
- The second-row seats are power-reclined and can fold flat. They also have an 8-inch touchscreen and Bluetooth.
The revised Model Y boasts enhanced connectivity capabilities, resulting in extended Phone Key reach, crisper phone conversations, and swifter cellular and Wi-Fi connections.
For Chinese consumers, there’s a selection of wheel options available for the Model Y. They can pick from the “Interactive Storm” wheels, which are 19-inch black wheels, or the “Spiral Storm” Wheels, silver 20-inch wheels. Regrettably, Australian customers are limited to one option: the 20-inch “Helix 2.0.”

1. Red
2. Blue
3. Green
4. Yellow
5. White
- Pearl White Multi-Coat
