New ‘Tesla Files’ Documentary Set To Expose Inner Workings of Company and Elon Musk Is Releasing

A noteworthy documentary titled “The Tesla Files,” which is being produced by the Beetz Brothers under the guidance of director Andreas Pichler, will soon be in production about Elon Musk. This intriguing documentary is planned to premiere as a work-in-progress at the CPH:DOX international documentary festival held in Copenhagen.

Based on Variety’s report, the documentary draws narrative guidance from leaked internal data, amounting to 100GB, supplied by a former Tesla employee named Lukasz Krupski who worked in Norway. In 2022, Krupski was terminated by Tesla following his assertions that the technology behind their self-driving cars posed safety risks and should not be used on public roads. The New York Times interviewed Krupski in 2023, during which he disclosed that he faced harassment, threats, and eventually termination after voicing concerns about serious safety issues at his Oslo workplace. Originally from Poland, Krupski was part of a team responsible for preparing Teslas for buyers. However, his dissatisfaction with the company led him to share extensive data from Tesla’s computer system with Handelsblatt, a German business newspaper in 2022. The data included personal information such as employees’ social security numbers and other sensitive details, including a list of Tesla staff members, even reaching up to Elon Musk himself. Additionally, the data encompassed internal Tesla communications about thousands of accident reports.

This documentary aims to offer viewers an insight into the decisions made by Elon Musk. It intends to scrutinize both Tesla and Musk’s political aspirations, as suggested by its synopsis which states that “to truly grasp Elon Musk today, we must dissect The Elon Musk System — how he presents ideas, implements them, and relentlessly advances technological solutions, often at the expense of truth and with real-world consequences.” The documentary will feature testimonies from former Tesla employees and whistleblowers. Christian Beetz, CEO of Beetz Brothers, told Variety, “We aimed to delve deeper than just data and expose the human toll — families affected, victims, lawyers trying to fight back. These stories are heart-wrenching and widespread.” Anne Von Petersdorff, the documentary’s producer, added, “Given that Tesla is currently under investigation in Europe and by the Department of Justice in the U.S., Musk’s political rise at this time raises significant questions — could it have been a means to evade accountability?

The documentary weaves together three interrelated tales:

1. The first narrative delves into Elon Musk’s influence over Tesla, charting his evolution from tech innovator to political tactician.

2. The second narrative highlights the experiences of victims who have suffered due to incidents involving Tesla’s autopilot system. This part contrasts Musk’s lofty technological aspirations with the very real pain and hardships faced by those impacted.

3. The third narrative sheds light on investigations into Musk and his company, uncovering a pattern of concealments, circumvention of regulations, and an increasingly complex relationship between Musk’s business empire and political authority.

The production is said to be halfway completed.
