New Space Marine 2 mission adds new Chaos enemy to every encounter

As a seasoned Warhammer 40K: Space Marine veteran with countless hours spent battling heretics and xenos alike, the upcoming Operation Obelisk mission in Patch 5.0 has me absolutely thrilled! The chance to fight alongside my comrades against the forces of Chaos on Demerium is a dream come true.

In Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, an upcoming mission offers players a fresh viewpoint on the game’s thrilling climax.

In Update 5.0, scheduled for December, a new cooperative mission will be introduced, running simultaneously with the final solo mission from the campaign.

Space Marine 2 Operation ObeliskĀ

Starting mid-December, I’m diving back into the turbulent world of Demerium for Operation Obelisk, aiding Titus in his quest to activate the three Obelisks. Gathering my team, we’ll battle the forces of Chaos, working together to reach our goal.

In a similar vein, just as Saber introduced the November Operation, another adversary enters the scene for this grand battle: the Enlightened Tzaangor. This new enemy from Majoris will be incorporated into every Chaos-focused PvE mission, as Saber acknowledges that the current faction isn’t quite as engaging as the Tyranids at the moment.

The new operation deviates from simply repeating Space Marine 2’s thrilling finale; instead, it presents a challenge of navigating a “darkened tomb”, possibly ancient Necron ruins where the forces of Chaos aim to revive them.

After the introduction of the Neo-Volkite pistol, it appeared as if Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 was winding down by the end of the year. But, fueled by the immense success of the action game, Saber Interactive is far from finished with its development.

In addition to announcing the latest mission, Saber also disclosed that the game has amassed a grand total of five million players on all available platforms.

What an amazing sight it has been to watch our community expand, and I’m thrilled that this growth continues! Cheers to countless challenges yet to come,” the team expressed in their latest blog entry.
