The interest in celebrity doppelganger contests is surging swiftly, as demonstrated by the viral Pedro Pascal lookalike contest in New York City. Pedro Pascal lookalike contest happens in New Orleans
Supporters from New Orleans organized a search for someone resembling Pedro Pascal, the star of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, using social media. On July 11th, over 300 people came together to find this doppelganger among 14 potential candidates.
According to news from NOLA, the event was reportedly organized by Second Line Brewing and Southerns. They provided drinks and chicken sandwiches for attendees while they determined who most resembled the Emmy-nominated actor in a look-alike contest.
Following a swift process of narrowing down candidates, spectators identified three individuals who mirrored Pedro Pascal’s essence. Nick Accardo, Jack Largess, and Kevin Faucheaux emerged as the top contenders in the recent Pedro Pascal doppelgänger contest.
Apart from demonstrating their physical appearance, the finalists were also required to showcase their personality through dancing, allowing fans to determine who best embodied Pascal’s infectious enthusiasm. In the end, it was Kevin Faucheaux from Waggaman who took home the title and a cash prize of $50.
Faucheaux revealed that his life has been disrupted weekly as he is often mistaken for Pascal from The Mandalorian, with people approaching him thinking he’s the 50-year-old actor. He expressed his frustration by saying, “I’m stopped two to three times a week; it’s really affecting my lifestyle.
Earlier, a city-wide search for Pedro Pascal’s look-alike in New York City became widely popular online. George Gountas, who works as a lighting designer for The Daily Show, emerged victorious, receiving a $50 prize, and was given a year’s supply of burritos from Son del North, a Mexican eatery situated on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
Additionally, Gountas shared with People that he became aware of the competition via a chat among his coworkers. Once encouraged by his peers and wife, Gountas decided to participate in the contest, bearing an uncanny resemblance to Pascal.
George Gountas mentioned that he trimmed part of his mustache in order to participate in the look-alike contest. He said, “So I trimmed my mustache, put on a fitting outfit, and here I am.” George Guntas outperformed more than twenty other individuals who claimed to resemble Pascal.
