What do we know about the live-action Lilo & Stitch movie?

2002’s animated movie Lilo & Stitch is getting a real-life/animated reboot, penned by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright. The cast includes Sydney Agudong playing Nani, Courtney B. Vance as Cobra Bubbles, Kaipo Dudoit as David, Zach Galifianakis providing the voice of Dr. Jumba, and Billy Magnussen lending his voice to Agent Pleakley.

The tale centered around Hawaii follows the unique friendship that blossoms between Lilo, a solitary young girl, and Stitch, an alien resembling a dog who was created to cause chaos. Despite nosy officials and pursuing extraterrestrials knocking on their door, they connect over their common longing for family and ultimately triumph in the end.
